Why learn to weave
today?
Never more than now we overuse textile products. Shops, stalls, department stores, internet, offer carpets and fabrics of all sorts, at prices often lower than the cost of raw materials.
But then, why learn to weave today?If it is no longer a necessity, if it is no longer a saving, if you take more time, why? I think the real reason must be sought in the gesture.
"Because I did it". This is the most genuine thing I can say. And behind his apparent banality, perhaps, he hides the other. Behind that innocent "I did it" there is that thought that sometimes, finding the slowness in the rhythm of the frame is better than a racing world and that - perhaps - knowing what you put on or trample is important, like knowing who you are.

we dedicate ourselves a little to himself. Simply by doing something you like, creating a structure, with a gesture, a structure of which you know time and meaning.
And if that gesture "I did it" likes it, it makes you feel good, because from entertainment do not try to make it a job, a profession? To make that structure become your structure, rediscover craftsmanship, create unique, authentic, your own objects. Use the frame as a means of production and self-knowledge and creativity. This is why, even today, it may make sense to learn to weave: for oneself.
