It's a very versatile foot loom, carefully designed and finished with a great attention to details. Built to last for a long time, it's a solid, practical and efficient loom great both for professionals and expert amateurs.
Technical specifications:
Evaporated beechwood finished with a solution of waxes and vegetable oils. Ready to be equipped with up to 8 nylon 33 cm long heddles. It's a counterbalanced loom with the typical mediterranean roller system and belts designed to keep it stable and accurate throughout the weaving and easy and fast in the setting up of the heddles. The rollers are improved with non-slip sand so as to guarantee the best adherence to the belts.
In order to guarantee optimal heddle lowering and lifting, the loom is equipped with return gears.
The fabric advances by wrapping on octagonal beams made of solid wood 8 cm in diameter thanks to practical and solid wooden flywheels. The brake system is a ratchet.
The sides, with a compact structure, have a mortise and tenon joint with a wooden nail. The crossbeams are joined to the sides of the loom with the traditional system of wooden wedges, while the front beam and the thread carrier are snap-fitted and have screw tenons. To help the threading, both the front beam and the cloth deflecting rod are removable.
The swinging beater is adjustable in height.
The bench is adjustable in height and it can also be used to prepare a warping of a maximum length 22 m.
